West Ham are close to securing a loan deal for Inter Milan striker Ishak Belfodil, according to reports in Italy.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, whose side face Manchester City in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final tonight, is desperate to bolster his squad and recently hinted that the club were close to signing a striker.
Belfodil, who has also been linked with QPR, has failed to make his mark at Inter since joining the club from Palma last summer and has made just two appearances for the Serie A outfit this term.
However, the 21-year-old Algeria international is contracted to the Italians until 2018 so a season-long loan appears the most likely scenario.

Reports from Italy suggest that Belfodil has already agreed personal terms with the Hammers and could fly to London for a medical as early as tomorrow.
The Hammers have been lacking fire power this season with record signing Andy Carroll sidelined with a foot injury. The former Newcastle striker is due back within the next couple of weeks but the arrival of Belfodil would be a welcome addition to Allardyce’s squad.
